What's the best notebook/laptop for a college student?

Is the HP tx1000z a worthy laptop?

What's the best notebook/laptop for a college student?

I'm a fan of HP laptops. Also similar to Lenovo (IBM) Thinkpad. Really as long as its not an Apple, I'm happy.
HPs are pretty clothed, but really, make sure you return with a laptop/notebook computer that has a appropriate amount of memory to store your files, a fairly brisk processor, and runs pretty smoothly. Try going to a electronics store and asking the salesman or a specialist. They usually have some right tips for buying a student computer.
Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 for a thin and frothy

Alienware Area-51 m9750 or Apple MacBook Pro 2007 for Gaming.

Dell Inspiron 1501 for a budget laptop.

As far as HPs go, I tend to stay away from them because i've see lots of problems with them as a computer technician.
