Whats within to know almost laptops?

I know like mad about PCs.

I am competent to tear one down and redo it.

And have several times.



But here are things i do not know about laptops.

for example how hot should they run? can i control the enthusiast?

I have speedfan but i am not sure how to use it properly.



and if in that are any other differences that i should know or just common laptop knowledge please bring up to date.

I wont be offended if you try describing me the basics roughly speaking computer operations.



i am currently using a Compaq Persario 2200 if in that is anything i should know specifically about that.



But i in recent times need some common laptop knowledge.

Batteries are not expected to end more then 2 hours (the average flight time, remember, laptops are aimed at businessmen and women). Of course, battery-operated life depends on the gentle of RAM you have, what processes you're running, and settings and configurations on your computer.



Beware of drops (obvious, but for some inhabitants you have to mention it)



The bottom of a laptop will get hold of hot if you don't allow it to breathe (i.e. setting it on a carpet and running it). Avoid it getting to rock-hard before you soften important hardware.



After you convey the laptop to shut down... wait for it to shut down past you close it. Sometimes that can cause through slow-downs before you're up and going again (stops shutting down, hibernate until you reopen it, then shuts down)
The bottoms of laptops do bring hot but it usually wont cause any problems. Make sure you use it on a flat surface so the upper air can flow through. If it gets really hot nearby are cooling systems you can buy to put under it
