OS Win 98; configuration utility is passworded (unknown); boot sequence is floppy merely.

Open it up and pull the freestyle off the motherboard. Also in the neighbourhood the battery may be a a 3 pin that say CMOS 1-2 Normal 2-3 Clear CMOS. Pull the jumper and touch it on the other two pins and after put it back where on earth it was, replace the battery-operated and see how it goes.
reset cmos ... if its a laptop it may require disassmbling to unsolder the cmos mobile ...

hmm take out the mobile from the motherboard wait for 10 second put it back within and restart that should do it.
Remove cmos battery check out of out for a little afterwards replace it.

Sometimes their are jumpers on the MB to to this but not other
win 98 means infirm pc, so preserve pressing f or j password is disabled.

Else if access to battery, remove it and boot once, bios payment is gone.
for old motherboard, pull-out the cmos mobile. after 5 seconds put it spinal column.



for new motherboard, there's a pullover that you need to pull-out and put rear legs again after a few seconds.
