What's the difference of a discreet vram from a staunch one?

Discreet is a euphemism created by computer manufacturer for Shared Video RAM. What it does is share your system memory w/ the video card. Therefore, if you have 512MB of RAM and a computer that uses 64MB of discrete VRAM, you will one and only have 448MB of RAM available to your computer system.

Dedicated VRAM is a short time ago that, it's separate RAM that is devoted to the Video Card and is not shared w/ the system.
