What will be the upright configuration laptop for engineering usage and Who is the best making?
Sony Vaio is among the best ones... and for engineering usage you should any go for AMD 64bit processor or Intel Core 2 Duo (I'd prefer Core 2 Duo) beside 2GB of RAM and NVIDIA graphics card with atleast 264MB unswerving memory.
Hope this helps.
See for thebest models contained by HP or Dell they are having the best models
Engineering Usage? Means what..
1. U want to run Engineering applications sitting contained by an office/controlled envirronment or
2. will be using the Laptop for OUTDOOR / Shop Floor environments..
If its 1 then step for a good reputed Brand beside Dual Core CPU, 1GB RAM, DVD R/W, 120GB HDD (Specs will be = Your Budget)
And if its 2 then you can try and achieve Panasonic Tough Books.. they have different models depending on the industry verticle The Laptop will be used within. (Lot more costly but TAILOR-MADE for outdoor usage, u can actually see the display within a 12PM Sunlight if you plan to work in the open out and its Liquid-spill proof)
Njoy...
do keep the major 2-3 pts in mind similar to choose
1. processor
2. ram
3. graphics
processor- core 2 duo laptops as they are souk movers,
ram - thrill for nothing below 2gb
graphics- preferably 256- 512mb dyed-in-the-wool
do a bit of your research before you arrive at conclusions
angelic choices are there from dell, hp and even apple. look out on the budget too.

If u r an engineering student find either IBM or SONY. If u own a tight budget HP/COMPAQ is very fitting.
